Field Trip Possibility! Our own James Navlyt will be performing in "Twelfth Night" through the Black Swan Youth Theatre March 10-12 and 16-17. If you're interesting in going, let me know and we'll try to organize a group. You will certainly earn extra credit points in your English class for attending!
Field Trip Possibility #2: Arts and Lecture Series: This is a big one and anyone who attends must have parent permission. We will be attending the Portland Arts and Lecture Series on April 28th to listen to Art Spiegelman. He wrote Maus, a Pulitzer Prize winning graphic novel about his father's experience during the holocaust. We'll head downtown on the MAX, attend the lecture at 7:30, and meet after at an agreed-upon location to talk about the lecture. Again, you will earn extra credit through your English class. Start thinking about this possibility! We are so excited to make this opportunity available.
